Syzygal’s latest track ‘Shadow Warriors’ examines ideas surrounding our ability to look at the deepest parts of our personal intentions and re-examining the outcome of our efforts. It’s so easy to find ourselves in situations that don’t align with who we are, or can impact us in ways that make our own ability to feel good difficult. It is our job to work through the darkest parts of ourselves, to be able to live in a lighter space, and everyone around us is accountable to do the same. The toughest parts of this journey can happen late at night. The term ‘shadow warrior’ refers to that time and space, when the journey is not so fun, and the work is daunting. We can be so hard on ourselves, people can be so hard on us, we can be so hard on others. Working with these images of what has been collected over the years and painted us into the echoes of thoughts we believe is a step in the right direction. The direction of dealing with reality and learning from where we have been, and the purpose of the relationship with your shadow. Somewhere in there lives the lightness of our being.
